ML,
I realize that this is your cite, but are you also the only one allowed to post? The following is my post that actually sees a silver lining in the "progressive" opposition to fair representation on the Urbana City Coucil. Yet, like the peoples opportunity to vote on the proposal, it is "hidden" or tabled with no explanation other than the editorial staff disagrees with the view. This post will also be hidden because progressives (socialist, communists) can not govern in a free an open society. They must become the very people they purport to defeat.
Here it is:
Actually ML, I hope the council continues its hardheaded stance on keeping their monopoly on council issues. This may actually make voters take notice of their elected officials and the elections even in Urbana may appeal to their common sense rather than a few radical elements who like to hear themselves speak.
This will give Republicans the opening that they have been waiting for and may even allow us to take over the city. It will happen eventually, as people continue to see businesses flee, schools fail and homeownership decline under the direction of the progressive policies.
At the very least, the council has made the city a laughing stock for all Illinois residents and has made Champaign one of the fastest growing cities in the State. For this we can be grateful.
Jack
Go get em Mr. Mortland, you have them on the run and they appear to let you speak.
