Darrin,
Approval ratings don't vote. Voters do. As for questions about economic recovery, there is no question that the Clinton reccession is over.
Our country has absorbed a reccession and a brutal attack and is now the fastest growing economy in the world among the industrialized nations. Much of this should be attributed to Bush's leadership and allowing all American's who pay taxes to keep more of what they earn.
As for high gas prices, yes they are indeed expensive. If the government would allow more domestic drilling (environmental suicide) and the building of more refineries, I suspect that this problem would be dealt with as well. I believe that this will be done in the second term of the Bush Adminstration.
As for Ms. Epelbaum's foolish assertion that this war was a war for oil, could you please read a book on the functions of markets. They are numerous and would really help you.
As usual, NRA4Freedom is right. This weekend should be about reflection of those who courage, honor, and sacrifice should be remembered. I realize that honoring our military and those who paid the ultimate price is a difficult one for you guys on the left, but for the sake of peace, do you think it would be too much to ask for you folks to say thank you to them for the freedoms that you enjoy?
