ok... this is pretty shocking, i will admit.
It is pretty obvious that you decided to take a bit of editorial priveledge to beef up your arguement.
While i am not condoning the acts, they are clearly a violation of international laws, i think it is important to note here that the military is going to hang these people out to dry for what they did..
I do apologize for dismissing what you said so quickly, but its pretty hard to take anything writen the way you beefed it up to be from a legit news source.
Like the article said, this is not indicitive of the military as a whole, this being sadaams most fear prison, i imagine these aren't the petty theves that get picked up off the street, the article doesn't say who was tortured, i am guessing that these are people picked up from gun fights or ex-baathists and that the reservists decided to take matters into their own hands.
Like i said, this disturbs me, but i believe it is not representative of the military in the whole, clearly those responsible will be help accountable and shown that we do not do things like hte previous owners of the prison |
