Just after the WEFT interview, Goodman gave an hour-long talk to a packed room of over 200 at the Illinois Disciples Foundation as a benefit for the community station. She discussed many topics covered in her book, including the current breakdown of dissent in the mainstream media and her appearance on the Sally Jesse Raphael television program during the first Gulf War, which only made it to air after a major audience outcry.
