Several hundred people came out on the first anniversary of the second Iraq war to protest against it. |
Several hundred people came out to protest against the second Iraq war on its first anniversary. The rally, which was coordinated with similar events worldwide that drew hundreds of thousands of people, included a speech at Urbana Middle School by Dr. Mohammad Al-Heeti. The group marched to the Champaign County Courthouse, where speeches were given by Meg Miner and Danielle Chynoweth. The program included music by Paul Kotheimer and David Tcheng.
