Okay, I agree that calling the N.E.A. a terrorist group is a "stupid" thing to say. However, calling them a union with the objectiive of teaching our nation's children is equally inaccurate.
The N.E.A. exists for the following reasons.
1. To insulate poor teachers from accountability.
2. To equalize the pay for all teachers regardless of the results they achieve.
3. To insure the continued monopoly of "public education",
4. To keep children, particularly minority children, in failing schools at all costs. "No freedom of choice in this regard".
5. To infect children with the leftist agenda they wish to call political correctness.
6. To teach children that America is an agressive, imperialistic nation with designs on oil, territory, and the weatlh of other nations.
7. To teach that this nation is not "one nation under God",
8. To expel all aspects of religion except Islam, Hinduism, Druidism, Secular Humanism, Atheism, etc. Or just to make it simple: Expel Christianity.
9. To rewrite History especially as it relates to our founding fathers and the famous capitalist that built this rich country.
10. To keep incompetitent teachers in their jobs.
These are the goals of the N.E.A. to name a few, but it was stupid to call you terrorists.
