i am extremely aggravated at the tactics of Coca Cola Company. If the University of Michigan can place the Coca Cola Company on probation, why can't we? They need to clean up their act! The loss of lives and water pollution and deplation of resources in India are totally unacceptable. We cannot afford to support a company that resorts to these tactics all for some money gained through the exclusive Pouring Rights Contract.
I urge everyone to boycott Coca Cola. It will be less convenient to have to bring your own soda and other beverages to campus. We need to show them we will not buy their product. Then it will no lonbger be profotable to offer such contracts.
I have collected empty carton and bottle cap codes and entered them for premiums and discounts on merchandise, in an effort to make the company pay out more money. Now, the codes I collect will go toward a charitable cause. I did get some "free "Coca Cola Zero from this offer, but only at the company's expense. That is bad pop, as it contains Aspartame which is harmful and metabolizes to toxic methanol. I will not buy any more once this is gone.
Because soda is subject to the full 7.5% sales tax, originally levied to fund the 1992 Chicago World's Fair that never took place, I am collecting aluminum cans to recover the tax I had to pay, 9 cents for each of 21 bottles I redeemed from the Free Coke Zero 20 oz. bottle coupons I received from redemption of the bottle cap and carton points I collected from others' pop they consumed.
i am trying to cut down on soda now. I have sent for a rebate to get my money back on four cartons of Pepsi Cola I purchased recently at CVS Pharmacy. |
