Urbana-Champaign IMC members report as many as 1,000 FTAA protesters have already gathered at Miami's Federal Courthouse by 7:30am. The Federal Courthouse is one of many locations in Miami designated this morning as a gathering place by direct action protesters from around the world. Currently, radical cheerleaders from the crowd face 200-300 policemen who are lined up in front of the courthouse and around its perimeter. There are rumors of action taking place in other places in the city, although the crowd is only beginning to gather at the federal courthouse. More information to be posted, as the situation develops. |
