Goodness. We've always had friendly relations in the past...for the life of me I don't see the need for a defensive tone. I have just been trying to bring a different perspective to your attention.
IMHO, I think that, as editor, you precisely *should* give up your prerogitives (to preface articles with comments of approval/disapproval) as a poster in order to foster a more "open" (or unmediated, to use your term) environment.
I don't understand how you can say that you weren't "placing your imprimatur" on the article. Anyone who reads english can see that you did.
I wasn't trolling. I brought the issue up because I cared about the IMC's mission. I believe my point is still valid. Certainly your responses to the question support my position that it's possible, even with all good intentions, to discourage openness.
You can disagree with my points, but I don't believe I've said anything to warrant your final comment about 'opposing anything you support' or some such. Unless you were referring to someone else...that isn't clear.
