Letters From Young Activists is a collection of voices from across the country that proves once and for all that young people are as engaged as ever. Aged ten to thirty-one, these diverse authors are helping remake the world. They are atheist, Christian, Jewish, Muslim, pagan; transgender, queer, heterosexual, bisexual -- Americans from every type of background and ethnicity, united in their dedication to progressive goals. They inherit the legacy of the sixties, but have the imagination and courage to embark in new directions. For more information, go to www.lettersfromyoungactivists.org

Co-sponsored by Urban League’s Center for Civic Engagement and Social Justice, CU Citizens for Peace and Justice, Students for Environmental ConcernS, Men Against Sexual Violence, Independent Media Center, and many more!

UC-IMC is located at the corner of Elm and Broadway in Urbana in the Post Office Building. The discussion will be held on the first floor. Wheelchair accessible entry is available on the building's south side. If traveling by bus (130 Silver, 150 Urbana Link, 50 Green, or 70 Grey), get off at the Lincoln Square stop. For a complete listing of bus routes, go to www.cumtd.com or call 217-384-8188.
