This piece is hidden because it is turning EVERYTHING upside down, I-sure of it. The existence of Israel, as the heavy religious state, its location in the middle of Arabs, oil rich, Muslim countries is one of very few or, probably, the main reason why USA won cold war. Sure, now the same existence helps USA to monger his anti-Arab, anti-Muslim wars, but it is not what Israel, itself, is interested in. Israel is caught in the impossible trap between the hatred of the surrounding as it is the right hand of the USA, and its own impossibility to survive in the middle of this hatred without the USA help, meaning without being the USA right hand.
To accuse Israel in the current USA policies is similar to accusations addressed to bombs and not to people who threw these bombs. Bombs, if they have some abilities to express opinions, would probably choose to be not blown, the same is true about Israel.
In short, want to throw accusations, accuse perpetrators, not their weapons. By the way, Sharon is the head of Israel currently not because Israel and/or Likud wants him to be, but because Bush wants him to be. |
