Drastical withdrawal from Iraq would , probably, start there a genocide like one in Rwanda or similar. The continuation of current occupation means more and more killed Americans. Besides, it doesn't seem profitable at any point of view except of the undoubtful continuing profit of a few companies like Halliburton and some of their employees. It seems that the first occurrence would be still worse for all American prestige and welfare than the second one, considering that independent International opinion is at least the partially reality and not the complete mirage, as one might have concluded from the last three years or so.
Kerry is certainly the unpleasant and unpopular after what he had done during election 2004 person, but the cause (any cause) can't be ignored and destroyed only because he decides to join it either for longer or for shorter while of time. |
