In an amazing story of resilience, New Orleans-based ISP directNIC.com is not only still operational, but its employees are providing real-time photo, video, and blog updates on the situation downtown. |
directNIC apparently has weeks of diesel-based backup power. Plus they're located on the upper floors of a high-rise dowtown.
Their usual blogging has become a record of survival, and their cameras have captured scenes continuously during the entire unfolding situation, with extensive archives.
