Members of the Anti-War Anti-Racism Effort (AWARE) will demonstrate outside Sen. Obama's talk this Thursday. This is call for immediate withdrawal of all troops, closure of all bases and and end to occupation and torture in Iraq and Afghanistan. |
(Champaign) Members of the AntiWar Anti-Racism Effort (AWARE) will demonstrate outside Senator Barack Obama's talk this Thursday August 18 at
12 noon at the Terminal Building in downtown Champaign.
Senator Barack Obama will be speaking inside the building at 12:45. Aantiwar activists will gather outside handing out informational leaflets and holding signs protesting war, occupation and torture.
AWARE wants Senator Obama to call for immediate withdrawal of all troops from Iraq and Afghanistan and closure of military bases there, as well as an end to torture and occupation generally.
All are welcome. Please feel free to bring your own signs or borrow one of ours. |
