Champaign-Urbana Critical Mass rides again Friday, May 25 at 5:15 -- gathering and starting at the Alma Mater, on the SE corner of Green and Wright Sts. in Campustown. |
Critical Mass is an organized coincidence of bicycle riders gathering and riding together through the streets of Champaign and Urbana. When we ride together as a mass we experience what it might be like if the roads were more friendly to bicycles, encouraging more people to ride bikes.
We also force drivers to notice us on the road--the more bikes there are, the harder we are to ignore.
Critical Mass is also a fun, healthy ride. It's not a race, but a friendly gathering. Everyone is welcome, and the more riders we have, the more fun it is for everyone.
Feel the freedom of sharing the road around you with bikes instead of cars!
For added fun, make a sign, bring bell or horn. Tell your friends, and bring them along!
Friday May 25, 5:15 at the Alma Mater, Green & Wright Sts., Campustown.
