Chicago's Iraq Peace Pledge Team and the the National Iraq Pledge of Resistance are calling for an International Human Rights Day Rally with speakers and Civil Disobedience When: Tuesday, December 10, 7:30 AM Where: Federal Plaza, 220 S. Dearborn
WE MUST ACT QUICKLY, BEFORE BUSH STARTS A WAR.
Attacking Iraq will:
- lead to the deaths of tens of thousands of innocent Iraqis and many US troops.
- breed more anti-US government sentiment by alienating people all over the world.
- cost $200 billion at a time when the economy is failing and basic services are being cut.
- destabilize the Middle East and possibly spread war throughout the entire region.
JOIN THE IRAQ PEACE PLEDGE TEAM! HELP ORGANIZE:
- an anti-war civil disobedience event for International Human Rights Day on Dec. 10.
- anti-war rallies at the office of Congressional members who supported the war resolution.
- teach-ins at high schools and colleges
- actions that highlight the role of US oil companies and US oil addiction as driving force behind the proposed war
- Phone the White House at (202) 456-1111 and tell them, 'No War on Iraq
