This Wed. (July 27th) we will discuss instant run-off voting. |
When you vote are you tired of having to choose between the lesser of two evils. Do you want to vote for a third party candidate but fear that by not voing for a Democrat a Republican will win or by not voting for a Republican a Democrat will win.
Instant run-off voting eliminates these problems. You voting by ranking candidates. Then losing candidates are eliminted until one candidate gets 50% of the vote. It's not as complicated as it might seem. It would make our elections more democratic!
So come and see how it works and discuss instant run-off voting.
The green Tea will be on this Wednesday on July 27th. Normally Green Teas are on the third Wed. of the month.
All are welcome. This Green Teas are at 7:00 PM at the Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center in the downtown Urbana Post Office building on the corner of Broadway and Elm. Enter at the Elm street door. |
