Jeff Guntzel, co-coordinator of Voices in the Wilderness, will be the featured speaker at the Channing-Murray Foundation's Social Justice Forum this coming Thursday, November 21, from 7 to 9 pm. Guntzel will speak on "U.S. Policy towards Iraq: What Should It Be?" This event is free and open to the public. Channing-Murray is located at 1209 W. Oregon, Urbana.
Since 1996, the Chicago-based VITW has sent more than 30 delegations to Iraq to publicly deliver critically needed medical supples to children and families in Iraq and to draw attention to the needless suffering and death caused by the US/UN economic sanctions in Iraq. There will be ample time for questions/comments following the presentation. Light refreshments will be served.
Jeff Guntzel will also be the guest on on WILL-AM's Focus 580, from 11am-noon, on Nov. 21. |
