Dear Friends of the Escarpment,
On Thursday, October 17th, 9:30 AM to approximately 12:45 PM the Niagara Escarpment Commission will meet in Council Chambers at the Town of Halton Hills (Georgetown) to decide whether Duffer Aggregates will be able to expand into critical habitat of several 'species at risk'. A bad decision could set a precedent that will devastate the Escarpment.
If you are within one hour of Georgetown PLEASE ATTEND.
Circulate to your list. You never know where a forwarded email will go. Perhaps to someone who can attend the Georgetown meeting.
Even if you can only spend one hour come for 11:30 AM and stay for the vote.
Directions:
From Oakville: Follow Trafalgar Road 11 km north of the #401 to Maple Avenue. Turn right , or east at the Maple lights and then immediately left into Halton Hills Drive.
From Caledon/Brampton: Follow Sideroad 17 (also called Mayfield Road) west. A few twists and turns over the Credit River bridge, then an immediate left to resume on Maple Avenue. Pass 4 sets of lights and just before you get to the lights at Trafalgar Road turn right into Halton Hills Drive just across from North Halton Golf Course.
"Never doubt that a small group of concerned citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."

Sincerely,
