The latest Shortwave Report (September 27) is up at the website http://www.outfarpress.com/outfarpress/shortwave.shtml in both broadcast quality 13.3MB) and quickdownload or streaming form (3.3MB) (29:04) It's free to rebroadcast, please notify me if you're airing it and haven't notified me in the last month, please mention the website if you only air a portion. If you just want to listen and have a slow connection, try the streaming version- lower sound quality but good enough and way easier if you don't have a high-speed internet connection. If streaming is a problem because of your slow connection, download the smaller file- it takes 20 minutes or less, and will play swell in any mp3 player application (RealPlayer, Winamp, Quicktime, iTunes, etc) you have on your computer.
This program will be aired at 7pm PDST this Friday evening at KZYX/Z Philo CA and you MIGHT be able to stream via http://www.kzyx.org/

This week's show features stories from Radio Netherlands, Radio Havana Cuba, Radio Deutsche Welle, China Radio International, and the Voice Of Russia.
From Netherlands- Germany's Chancellor Schroedor was re-elected, receiving congratulations from around the world with the exception of the US. Belgium has become the second country in the world to legalize euthanasia. Iraqi minister Aziz calls the Netherlands "a US lackey." Tony Blair's dossier on Iraq was met with many questions around the world, here's comments from an Editor of Jane's Intelligence Digest, including doubts about the credulity of Iraq defectors.
From Cuba- Blair's dossier has been called inadequate as a call for an attack, from leaders in Canada, France and China.
From Germany- British MPs held a special meeting to discuss Blair's dossier, with only a third of the MPs expressing confidence in the report. Then a commentary from a DW editor on the dossier. The EU continues to object to the US demand that its nationals not be subject to the International Criminal Court on War Crimes.
From China- Israel's seige of Arafat's Ramallah compound has been highly condemned around the world- at the time of this shows production, Israel continues to defy UN reslutions.
From Russia- Russia and Azerbijan have agreed on oil rights beneath the Caspian Sea. Then a commentary on the US State Dept plan on the invasion of Iraq. Finally, a commentary on the new US national security strategy.
All that plus times and frequencies for listening at home. I hope you'll listen and air this if you're connected with a radio station.
