Temporary Insanity - Dumb Blonde to Go for Glue Gun Sniffing Defense |

Prediction: First a fashion model, than a stock broker, and finally the self-procraimled "cleopatra of culture" Martha will claim glue-gun sniffing and overuse of dumb blonde hair color as temporary insanity in defense of all subpeonas and possible grand jury actions. |
I acknowledge that Martha is a creative woman but I have my moments too! With a staff of a zillion, and an unlimited budget to match, I could crossbreed chickens and rabbits to come with the fluffiest offspring next Easter. Years in the dental industry, I could even make them dentures so they could smile and chew instead of nibble and peck!
She crossed the line with me the first time when she dared show up on television teaching Julia Child how to bake a cake (I realized then that the chapter from "Martha Stewart is Better than You at Entertaining"---where she competes with the Pope to turn water into wine and decorates communion wafers was not humor or parody, but observation!) The second was when, the minute she had the chance legally after her own public offering, she started selling stock beyond what a normal entrepreneur does in such situations (Same book, but with her "Poaching Lobsters by stealing traps is classic!). The last came when she claimed she was unaware of any insider trading and thought there was a sell stop on her purchase!
Back to the blonde comment: Those of you who are ought to be overly pissed at me? Martha is a woman who was a fashion model (not cover girl class but alright at catalog stuff. She made a living at it long enough to marry some money well!), was a stock broker as a second career, put the testicles of execs at CBS in bench vices, and now wants us to believe she was not knowledgable of the possibility of insider trading and thought she had placed a sell-stop with her stock purchase order.
The worst? Another set of shareholders who did believe in her is getting screwed as Martha Stewart stock sinks. If she were honest and responsible she would give up her concern for the fifth or sixth homeless and buy some of her stock back. She will not! More than anything, I think she really believes that peasants dance in the face of nihilism.
I hope I am correct! I think they might just vote instead this interim election in numbers never seen before in a mid-term! |
