After nearly 5 hours of deliberation the executive board fo the champaign county afl/cio issued a unanimous verdict. They censured David Johnson for his public support of Ralph Nader but did not remove him from any office that he holds. |
After nearly 5 hours of deliberation the executive board fo the champaign county afl/cio issued a unanimous verdict. They censured David Johnson for his public support of Ralph Nader but did not remove him from any office that he holds.
Despite the presence of over 50 supporters the trial was completely closed to the public and no audio or typed transcript was made, only handwritten minutes were taken and these will probably not be made public. A representative from AFL/CIO national was present to "oversee" the proceedings.
