Wondering when a good time to stop by the IMC might be? Any time it is staffed is a good time and here is a schedule of when the IMC space is currently being staffed. Look for our bright red OPEN sign and use the schdule below as a guide. UC IMC offers free internet access, an air conditioned place to beat the heat, and a variety of resources and reading material on issues important to those concerned about progressive issues in a time of war and economic stagnation. |

Staffing the IMC so that it is open to the public is one of the most important parts of UC IMC’s mission of providing resources so that people can be the media. We offer staffers free parking at our secure, air conditioned building. The staffing computer and wireless access provide free internet access for volunteer staffers amid a diverse and welcoming environment. Please consider volunteering to staff: it’s an easy and fun way to meet people and gives you the chance to make a difference for both visitors and the IMC.
Notes: Look for the bright red OPEN sign outside the Elm St. entrance when the building is being staffed or call ahead (344-8820) to confirm. IMC volunteers are frequently in the building at times other than the staffing times posted above.
On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings, IMC working groups frequently meet and have the building open. Contact the specific working group according to the schedule available at: http://www.ucimc.org/mod/info/display/volunteer/
At times, staffers may be working elsewhere in the building or outside. Look for a note at the IMC Elm St. inside entrance door. Outside organizations that meet in the building may have it open and can at times assist you, but they are not obligated to provide staffing assistance. |
