Weekly progressive events calender compiled by PABN (Progressive Activism in Bloomington-Normal) |
Hi everyone,
The calender's a little short this week. As summer approaches I'll need help gathering information, so if you know of an upcoming progressive event, or someone who would like to receive this weekly mailing, please contact me. As always, I appreciate your help in further distributing this information.
Best regards,
Adam

A women's potluck and discussion group is forming for the summer.
Who: A group of activist women who discuss gender dynamics in activist/progressive/radical communities
What: Possible topics include voice, silencing, leadership, technology, safety and your experiences and concerns.
Where: Sarah Kanouse's house, 604 S. Race St. (first floor north) in Urbana
When: Begins Thursday, May 3, at 6 PM.
Why: ARTCAR facilitated a discussion among feminists and pro-feminists before their March 27th performance in which several women shared their observations and experiences in progressive and activist circles (both mixed-gender and women-only settings) in town. We enjoyed the discussion and want to continue it (with more people next time). Please come.
