It sounds like the manger of the office was jealous of all the traffic. or the “customers” may have been CONTELPRO FBI AGENTS tring to find a way to shut the book mobile down cause they did not like the kind of books on it.
well it was a lot of fun to come to the book mobile and Ifeel we should do more events like this !!!! i found this link to a book store that has events almost every week
http://www.citylights.com heres an example :
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sunday, July 7th, 5:00 p.m.
City Lights in conjunction with the Labor Festival presents Working Words. Local activists and authors will be speaking on labor and working class themes– from garment workers in the Tri-angle Fire to nurses fighting for their rights in healthcare. Reading will be Adam David Miller, Ruth Daigon, Laura del Fuego, and Rita Flores Bogaert. The Labor Festival is an annual labor history and cultural festival commemorating the 1934 San Francisco General Strike
maybe we could come up with events like this "cultural festival" at IMC Urbana a place is fun because of what we do to make it fun the bookmobile was fun.
