City Lights in conjunction with the Labor Festival presents Working Words. Local activists and authors will be speaking on labor and working class themes– from garment workers in the Tri-angle Fire to nurses fighting for their rights in healthcare. Reading will be Adam David Miller, Ruth Daigon, Laura del Fuego, and Rita Flores Bogaert. The Labor Festival is an annual labor history and cultural festival commemorating the 1934 San Francisco General Strike.
