jib, you seem to be one of the masses who the corporations want to convince that the only thing that counts in life is what the material value of something is. poetry is one of those things that it is hard to put a value on, but everyday, people suffer for lack of it.

I can't believe that you have the audacity to write something *that* hackneyed, simplistic, and tired, and at the same time, accuse someone of being brainwashed by "the corporations".
And who do you think you are to suggest that I suffer from a lack of (ugh) poetry, or other intangibles? See, those of us who aren't fuck-ups and have a modest amount of talent or, failing that, motivation, can enjoy both the material and intrinsic - a little nuance that seems to have evaded you in your personal development. You probably had parents that told you that you were "good the way you are" and that "trying your best was all that was to be expected" of you. Sorry about that.
Again, if you're so upset by your material possessions, I will gladly relieve your angst. Please place everything in small, unmarked bills in a white kitchen garbage bag(s) and place them out on the stoop. I will collect them at your convenience.
The cows would eat you if they had big, fangy teeth. Nobody gives a shit about you. Get over it. |

It may be more fun to be homeless than corrupt,
but I don't hesitate saying
I'd have the most fun
with a home and bed
to sleep soundly at night in.
Living a life of love,
responsibility
and morality
doesn't need to preclude money.
Money, and material possessions
shouldn't be one's ends.
Strive to make the world a better place.
Start with your own heart, mind, soul.
But if someone offers to give you a dollar
to create a website for their not-for-profit
don't turn it down.
Nothing wrong with
making an honest dollar.
But make sure it's honest,
or you may have difficulty sleeping
in that comfortable bed
in that comfortable house
in that comfortable neighborhood. |

Have you ever read something over and over again, because the words were so beautiful, so incredible, so true, you couldn't leave them behind?
If not, you're missing something. |
it's not that simple. |

we decided to send the cars first,
but then we realized we didn't have enough money
to.
even mailing the cars across town
was prohibitive,
much less to wherever jib was,
though he hadn't given us his address.
maybe he was just saying that shit
and not really meaning it,
but that was too terrible to contemplate.
so we decided to send most of our money immediately,
addressing the envelope simply to "jib"
and giving it the return address "jib"
-- for emphasis.
we thought about writing a cover letter,
but figured jib would rather have the money
we would have spent on paper and ink.
the money we didn't send we used to subsist
while we saved up enough
to send the first installment of car parts.
like that guy in the Guinness Book of World Records
who ate an entire car one little part at a time
mixed into his food,
we reckoned jib would have our cars
in their entirety
eventually.
it really wasn't that simple. |

if you write your comments down
and don't use proper capitalization or puntuation
and especially -
if you use
lots
of
spaces
it lends more importance to you stupid shit ideas.
Like I said -
white kitchen garbage bags
full of your money
on the stoop
or shut your piehole
hippy. |

You're Johnny-One-Note

By all that money
Could think of
Another metaphor

i've noticed that president bush doesn't use proper pronunciation, and tends to use a lot of dramatic pauses. is that to lend more importance to his stupid shit ideas? is dubya a newspoet? i sure wish he'd shut his pie(-er, pretzel?)-hole. |

your anger reveals that you assume too much
if you want to judge me you must deduce divinity because I claim to be divine
you are God
I am you
strike the constitution- our rights are ordained by what is practical towards the common good
we do not have the right to be ignorant

(since some of you lack the critical skills to interpret my initial comments): spouting off about giving away all of your money (or at least, mummie and daddies trust fund, if you want to call that 'yours', since all of you are studying poetry, or mesopotamian basket weaving or whatever on mom & pop's dime) and then not really doing it? What is that? That you would direct other people to do things they would not do themselves is something that I find disgusting. It's insincere, effete, and well, loser-hippie-ish.
And ML; when everyone gives me all of the money that they feel soooo oppressed by (there's another thing-I can't believe the balls you people have to bitch about your privileged, collegiate lives), I'll buy you the "C". Smarmy prick. |

Using stereotypes as punching bags is what's disgusting. And in the same breath you tell us to practice what we preach.
If you preached what you practiced, your sermon would exhort us all to insult people we don't agree with. |
