Just thought you might be interested in knowing that nessie no longer even tries to deny that he considers 99.5% of American Jews to be "racist." Which makes his little stump speech about how racists need to be thrown out of Indymedia pretty funny. |

Only a racist would condemn 99.5% of American Jews, but not 99.5% of any other American ethnicity, and then pretend that he's not being overtly antisemitic. Couldn't be plainer. And only a fool would believe that either of your lame rejoinders in any way absolve you from your blanket condemnation of American Jews.
If you were capable of honest introspection, nessie, I believe you would be genuinely horrified by where your rhetoric has led you.

If gehrig cares to produce evidence the some other ethnic group is 99.5% racist, I'll condemn them, too. I condemn all racists, no matter to which ethnic group they happen to belong. A racist is a racist is a racist. They are all in the wrong. They don't belong in Indymedia and their propaganda does not belong on Indymedia bandwidth. They shame us all, not just IMCistas, but the entire Global Justice Movement. Until we expel the racists, we are hypocrites to claim to be anti-racist, and we will always be seen as the hypocrites we are. The world is not blind. One cannot wear a hood and sheet while preaching equality, and expect to be taken at one's word. Redeem Indymedia's integrity. Throw the Zionists out.

It's been interesting to observe how the phenomenon of antisemitic posts coming from various goosesteppers has been progressively poisoning Indybay all the while that nessie's antisemitism there has grown increasingly bolder and more naked.
Indybay's editorial staff may not be predominantly antisemitic, but the fact remains they tolerate far too much antisemitica (that is, they don't hide much of it), and of the more despicable brands at that. Their willingness to tolerate even some of it renders them guilty of allowing their site to be commandeered for promoting antisemitism.
While I recognize the existence of a reverse problem of blanket anti-Arabism and anti-Islam propagated by at least one regular contributor there, it's not nearly as severe as the antisemitism issue.
If I miss posting to Indybay, it's mainly when I notice people using erroneous facts to try and tame the stream of historical revisionism about thte Land of Israel gushing through the threads.
Those moments aside, my overriding sentiment is those anti-Jewish bigots can stew in their own juices for all I care. |

Well, the problem at Indybay right now is pretty much just one guy -- he came on maybe three weeks ago pushing some overtly antisemitic stuff, got slapped down, and is now spamming anti-Zionist stuff (and lots of "wow, what a great post!" comments afterward).
Somebody like that doesn't give a shit about Indymedia; if he can disrupt Indymedia _and_ take a whack at the Jews, then he's gotten two for the price of one.
Fortunately, he's enough of a whack that Indybay is finally starting to yank his posts. But it's an example of how just one person's hate can stir up a pretty big mess if he's persistent about it.
