The poster of this message has been one of the most prolific spammers of the global IMC Newswire. He has posted this message repeatedly there in order that it remains always in front of people. His linked websites (which also include bushsucks) usually contain pop-up advertising. Given his persistence, in the face of having these messages removed by Newswire clerks, and the fact that he apparently derives advertising revenue from his network of websites, we should consider this to be a violation of our editorial policies also.
There has also been much speculation about what use he will make of anyone's information entered into the form above. He could be simply reselling the personal info to other spammers or it might be something as sinister as a Trojan horse to gather info on users of Indymedia to sell to the government.
I will be posting a message to the IMC list noting this. Since the global Newswire has been moved off the front page, in large part due to the abuse of people like Dennis Baer, we are likely to see to see more similar material here.
Here is contact info if people on Tech want to attempt a contact. Based on the experience on Global, he will simply ignore any attempts to reason with him about this. Here is a link to info about this bum: http://www.indymedia.org/front.php3?article_id=170168&group=webcast
Mr. Baer,
The banner you are running contains advertising. I know you're not big on following any rules except your own, but this is a direct violation of our editorial policies.
