Ralph Nader will appear Thursday, April 12, at a fundraiser for the Prairie Greens and the Illinois Green Party, in the Urbana IMC space. The event, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., will also feature a variety of local speakers and entertainment. The $40 minimum suggested donation includes an organic lunch catered by the Urbana Permaculture Project. Information and tickets are available from Melinda at 337-1125. |
‘Grow the Greens’ Lunchtime Fundraiser featuring Ralph Nader!
Thursday, April 12, 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., at the Independent Media Center, 218 W. Main St., Urbana
Mark Thursday, April 12, on your calendars now. Join 2000 Green Party presidential candidate and lifelong consumer advocate Ralph Nader, in a benefit fundraiser for the Illinois Green Party and the Prairie Greens local affiliate group.
Tickets to this very special event are available for a suggested minimum contribution of $40*. ALL proceeds benefit the state and local Green parties in their continuing efforts to support a progressive, alternative politics.
Due to limited space, the number of people who can attend will be capped at about 100. The Green Party benefit will feature Ralph Nader, various local speakers and entertainers, and refreshments including a fine organic lunch catered by the Urbana Permaculture Project.

(* Please note that Mr. Nader has encouraged us to request this amount, in order for his participation to have the maximal benefit for state and local Greens groups.
