We seem to be operating in Champaign County along a similar track to Dane County, Wisconsin. This interesting article has a few ideas that we should look to to expand on recent victories at the Champaign County level and in Urbana to apply to Champaign. |

Some background on John Nichols: He's the Opinion Page editor for the Capital Times, Madison WI's afternoon daily. Well-regarded as a cogent voice from the left who's been able to hang on in the mainstream journalism biz. He recently co-wrote an Open Media Series pamphlet with Bob McChesney, titled "It's the Media, Stupid," which is well worth reading.
To you dyed-in-the-wool progressives, this is old news. I basically just wanted to second the reading of the article (altho there's a lot still left to do in Dane County to get it back to its hey days of progressivism). |
