Are you are a professional artist, a wanna-be, an art student, a Sunday painter or an art teacher, or would just like to share space with other artist please consider joining our (yet to be named) artist collective. |
The IMC has bought the downtown Urbana Post Office. The Post Office will rent the front window space back from the IMC for at least the next 10 years – but the rest of the building is now under the new progressive direction of this all-volunteer organization! One of the dreams is to house an artist’s collective there… and we are moving ahead with that vision. If you are a professional artist, a wanna-be, an art student, a Sunday painter or an art teacher, or would just like to share space with other artist please consider joining our (yet to be named) artist collective. This is perfect for someone who needs to get their paints off of their kitchen table… but doesn’t need a big private studio yet; for someone looking for inspiration; for mentoring; or just for a cool place to hang out and make art.
Primarily the collective will share a Studio / Classroom and a woodshop / workshop room. The price ranges from $45 a month for using common space to approximately $120 per month to have an individual space. I play drums, but live in an apartment. Does UCIMC rent out space (shared space or otherwise) to play and store instruments?? |
