The Vagina Monologues were in town at the Armory Free Theater this Valentines Day weekend. Each p
performance sold out within 15 minutes. Topics ranged from sexual assault, masturbation, Female
Genital Mutilation, and the plight of women in Afghanistan. The proceeds of this went to
Men Against Sexual Violence, Rape Crisis Services, and A Womens Fund. |
100 people crammed in the Armory Free Theater, to witness the Annual Vagina Monologues, The
Monologues are put on by the V-Day collective. The V-monologues, are a series of perfomances,
that address sexual politics, and is a way for women to express their sexuality and not be ashamed
of it. Some of the topics, were about women in Afghanistan, Bosnia, and Kosovo. Other more funny skits
were about the question, "If your vagina wore clothes, what would it wear." Every performance was sold out in a matter of 15 minutes. The proceeds went to benefit, Rape Crisis Services, A Womens Fund, and
Men Against Sexual Violence. |
