Learn more about the planned Free Trade Area for the Americas (FTAA) via a continent-wide micro-radio broadcast teach-in on Sat. Mar. 24. Tune in locally at 99.7 FM from 8am to 4pm. |
The Summit of the Americas (http://www.ftaa-alca.org), the folks planning to implement the Free Trade Area of the Americas (the expansion of NAFTA to the whole Western Hemisphere, except Cuba) will be taking over Quebec City this April (20-22). 9,000 delegates will be wining, dinning, and discussing "human rights and democracy" while any dissenting voices will be "controlled" by the most expensive security measures taken up by Canada. Tune-in on Saturday, March 24, for educational audio about the FTAA.

I am getting the signal just east of Lincoln Square, but I have to move the receiver around in order to pick up the signal. UnlessI do, the broadcast is drowned out by commercial stations through FM capture effect. Higher antenna or more optimal channel selection would be needed to acheive a better coverage area.
Good to hear the broadcast. Stay cool. |

The broadcast was outstanding! It was so excellent to have an entire day of educational programming about activism against the FTAA.
