On a personal note, as someone who was outraged about this plan I just want to thank all of the community members who worked hard to voice their opposition; this is a big victory for all of us.

I am very concerned that the recent media attention is giving the WRONG IMPRESSION about the Save our Tress issue.Yes, this is a victory on our part, but it certainly does not mean the end for the campaign. I do not trust Illinois Power yet, and I am very suspicious that this is a PR tactic to revamp the horrible reputation that they have developed from the tariff.
They have ten days to withdraw the tariff. They have every intent to rewrite another proposal. They have been very resistent to negotiating with the IP customers group in the past. We must stay engaged in the campaign to make sure that their pledge to work with the citizens is followed through with.
Don't let IP's PR ploys dismantle public activism!
IP wants to abate our agitation so that they can carry on with their business without anyone in their way! |
