People will have to make up their own minds on the authenticity of the tape. |
What is interesting is that the people on the tape sound like the Bush synchophants, transplanted to a foreign land and religion, revealing each side to be essentially the fundamentalist twin of their enemy.

Questions of the authenicity of the tape are not a major concern to the peace movement. The war is a dumb idea, whether or not OBL is guilty. The vigilante actions of the US are wrong just the same. Don't get sucked into the trap of arguing about whether it's real or not. What is more important is that it is irrelevant to arguments that say the war should be stopped, no more civilians killed, and the American people should have their rights back. |

I really don't understand the relevance of that snippet from the book about Mossadegh's overthrow (kind of interesting that Churchill was laying in bed when he received Kermit Roosevelt, though... Mossadegh apparently spent the vast majority of his time in office running Iran from his own bed). |
