United Students Against Sweatshops at Illinois State University will be protesting Disney tonight. |
Tonight, United Students Against Sweatshops will be protesting Disney. Disney recruits heavily for interns here at Illinois State University, filling them with rhetoric like "join the team" or "play a role at Walt Disney World". Well, tonight we're going to play a role at getting their operation evicted from our campus. Their horrific sweatshop abuses in China make them unacceptable for recruiting ISU students. They have to go.
If anyone from central Illinois wants to join us, we're meeting at CVA 151 on the ISU campus at 5:30. We have fliers and other things, and are expecting a nice turnout.
I'll post an update on this after the protest. |
