Little Feat tickets on sale April 1


SPRINGFIELD— Advance tickets for Little Feat, which will appear at Lincoln Land Community College July 30, will go on sale Friday, April 1. The band, which features a mix of music including blues, country and eclectic jazz will headline at “SummerFun!” which is presented by the Lincoln Land Community College (LLCC) Foundation, along with major sponsors, Capitol Radio Group and NewsChannel 20.

Advance sale Little Feat tickets are $20 per person, or $25 at the door. The band will perform at an outdoor venue on the college’s main campus at 5250 Shepherd Road in Springfield. Rain location will be Sangamon Auditorium.

On Friday evening, July 29, a “Beach Bash” will be held at 8 p.m. featuring an evening with the Groove Daddies. Tickets are $8 per person or two for $15 and include admission to the concert plus a chance to win a backyard barbeque for 50 with food from Turasky’s Catering and live music from the Groove Daddies. The event will also feature contests and prizes.

The 2nd annual “SummerFun!” will be held Friday, July 29, from 4 to 11 p.m. and Saturday, July 30 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. The overall event will feature family-oriented daytime activities including a car show and cruise-in, live musical entertainment, children’s activities, arts, crafts, contests, prizes and food. Gate admission to the daytime events is free.

“SummerFun!” is a fundraiser for the LLCC Foundation, whose mission is to raise and receive charitable gifts and provide financial support to the educational programs and services of Lincoln Land Community College. Support of “SummerFun!” helps raise money for projects that improve the quality of education available to residents throughout central Illinois. Proceeds from the 2005 event will benefit LLCC students through quality educational programs and services.
