Dan Johnson-Weinberger is coming down this week to begin educating the Student Government of U of I to help them adopt this much more Democratic System of Electing their members! |
The student government of the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, will
hold a referendum on November 12-13 to switch its electoral system over from
plurality to a combination of instant runoff voting for executive offices
and proportional representation.
Check out www.isg.uiuc.edu and then click on Proportional Representation (or
go directly to www.isg.uiuc.edu/resources/pr.html )
For those in Illinois, we'll be going to campus to help campaign for the
measure on the from the 8th through the 13th. Feel free to join us.

Electing a legislature?
Use proportional voting in three-member districts so all voters have a voice!
Electing an executive like governor, mayor or president?
Use instant runoff voting so the winner has a majority mandate and no vote is wasted! |
