Pessimism on new Cabinet |
1/19/05
Dear Editor,
Just by taking a glance at the new Bush Cabinet nominees, you come to realize that America’s future looks very grim and ominous. Bush probably is choosing them due to personal connections, not for their qualifications for their positions. The new nominees seem more extreme conservatives than the ones preceding them. Even many democrats who were satisfied with Colin Powell as the Secretary of State do not find Condoleeza Rice at all acceptable. After these new Cabinet Officials are appointed, it would be interesting to have another election to see if voters approve of the new Cabinet. After all, if Bush won the popular vote in this past election, the voters must have been pleased with his old selected officials. Then why appoint new officials with completely different backgrounds or thoughts about how to run this country?
