CNNsorship's New War.
Now when the DOW, NASDAQ and S&P are all up, CNN lines them up like so...
DOW +70.09
NAS +20.05
S&P +8.21
Whereas when they're all down, [like today] you'll see
NAS -39.17
For a little while, then you'll see
S&P -8.24
And finally
DOW -690.50
You might say I'm making a big thing out of something
so subtle and slight. But it's in the context of so
many other things.
For instance - well, I know...
How about a run-down of so many different deceitful things
Chicken Noodle News has been accused of in the past year
or two?
Heck, it might even give some insight into just how they
got their CNNsorship nickname:
"Aight!"
Let's get down to business.
DC Indy has some great international articles about CNN
pandering to the PSYOPS people at Fort Bragg and elsewhere.
Something tells me Women In Black
don't dig CNN very much lately.
People at NYCAP Indy say, "I was absolutely dumbfounded
at how obviously the viewers were being manipulated,
particularly by that propaganda machine CNN."
CNN's dubious Psyops work gets a LOT of press, even at
Vermont Indy with the year's top 10 CNNsored stories.
Click here for info about a conversation I had with a DC CNN intern
about CNN Georgia working with the CIA.
"It's just a step to the right."
KillYourTV Com has a "blog" story about CNN's journey to the
- - - > "far right."
Just an aside, because you need humor at a time like this.
Someone logged to buffalo.indy and got really mad that
s/he didn't see enough coverage of the Condit affair from
the Indy Media sites. The standard s/he's apparently
holding Indy to is CNN and FOX???
Italy seems to be getting very fascist very fast;
and CNN seems to be egging them on if you want
my "IMHO."
Some UTexas professor type did a research paper about
the "rise of indymedia."
"Visitors of Independent Media Centers," s/he says,
"know that it's different than the New York Times or
CNN."
Niel Bornstein says, "In the world of ubiquitous media, it's hard
to tell who's really watching who. Time Warner owns CNN, and both
are now the property of AOL," and asks "which one is the reliable
news source?"
Boisterous Horde Protests At CNN Headquarters [4/21/01]
Gallup poll might as well start going outlandish,
like "110% favor," and "10 out of 9 mathematicians
surveyed," I'll bet hardly anyone'll even notice.
At Seattle IMC, someone commented, "Wake up and look elsewhere
besides CNN and the other corporate news filters. You will
only get the side of the story that is in the best interest
of whichever company or goverment agency leaked it."
Methinks you doth understate too much.
:)
Sat Jun 16 '01, CNN, already lower than worm food,
stoops to epic lows in Sweden: Click here
for my opinion on it all.
Forgive me for quoting myself here (and from a
message board, no less) but you get my drift...
"...if the masses continue to be spoon-fed
the same bullshit. Private newspapers are
one thing, but we pay for the airwaves, and
we have every right in the world to demand
a say in what goes on them."
Tom Tomorrow sums it up really nicely when he says,
"CNN's new chief has been wooing republican leaders"
"CNN are rascist and liars, they do not report World news"
--P.G.
[ref]=[article_id=56460]
And they regularly downplay Jesse Helms, Henry Kissinger,
Newt Gingrich and David Horowitz during their racist,
tirades ever trying to keep them their credibility
among "the mainstream."
Minutes after CNNsorship just makes something up, an
entire town hall can be literally filled up with hate
mail from people instantly believing what they just
"heard."
You want my humble opinion again, their recklessness
and credibility abuse should NOT be forgiven.
Let's never forget the time that CNN's Atlanta bureau
leaked out "fact" that Leonard Peltier had been pardoned
by Bill Clinton his last night of office. Fact-checking
calls poured in to their offices. The first hour they
confirmed it; the next two hours were spent over refusals
to confirm or deny!
Finally, without even so much as a "we're sorry," all
further calls were handled with "there must have been a
mistake, we NEVER reported that he was even on a list to
be pardoned."
I'll end by simply putting it this way. CNNsorship comes
about because CNN is a tool of the corporations who own
and operate the human beings who work there. It's a lot
like slavery, except looking on the surface you see the
people are incredibly well paid.
Of course there's a whole other poverty I will not
discuss in the here and now.
To quote Bob Dylan:
"you that hide behind walls
you that hide behind desks
I just want you to know
I can see through your masks"
And would you like to participate
in a discussion about CNNsorship?
Good.
Venceremos,
Marco
ps: notes on "translation."
Sorry I've only done this in English so far.
I'll try to have a Spanish one soon and maybe
some others too if people want to pitch in.
This also means I've left out almost all
reports beginning in another language unless
they were translated, or I was able to get
the "gist." Let me say, for the most part,
the International community has not been nearly
so restrained in their expressed disgust with
CNNsorship as I've been here.
