Thanks, folks, for continuing this wonderful work.
But if you didn't know it already, this "Casablanca/AKB" is not to be taken seriously. This person has written to me under both aliases "Casablanca" and "AKB", always describing himself the same way -- and each alter-ego still claimed not to know the other.
Moreover, the New Republic article is surprisingly bad. Beinhart wastes a lot of the readers' time castigating "liberal" groups for not throwing out the Communists during the McCarthy era. I guessed he missed those high school lectures about how this country was founded on principles of freedom to believe what you like, etc. |
