DEMAND JUSTICE FOR BHOPAL VICTIMS: PETITION TO DOW CEO
Today is the anniversary of Union Carbide's fatal poisoning of more than
20,000 people in Bhopal, India, one of the worst corporate crimes in
history. On December 2nd, 1984, a tank at one of the company's plants
released 40 tons of the insecticide methyl isocyanate into the town of
Bhopal, instantly killing 8,000 people; another 12,000 later died from
exposure, and 120,000 of the survivors suffer health effects. Union
Carbide, now owned by Dow Chemical, absconded from India to escape
culpability; to date, it has never paid compensation to the victims or
cleaned up the contamination the leak caused.
To send a petition to Dow's CEO demanding that the company take full
responsibility for the tragedy in Bhopal, follow the link below:

responsible, visit http://www.bhopal.net .
