What it means to Push The Envelope: at least fifty people respond in NE Portland! |

Just yesterday, a "Crucial Arts interactor" went around the 'Hood in NE Portland, "pushing da envelope" in a creatively, wild way. Here is the list of thoughts written down by at least fifty participants who dared to write their own personal thoughts. A very broad variety here, and inspiring to see that people are *a lot smarter* than the media would have you believe! |

This is the entire list of what people wrote or spoke to me during Thursday's action. Some were hard to read, so please bear with me.
Pushing the envelope means to me:
Challenging authority. No qualms about speaking out. A woman with a voice.
getting some MOTHERFUCKING money!
Tuning out.
Passing the message, and being the mailman.
to push the world forward.

for kids: how much they can get away with. or, how much you have time to do stuff.

To push the Envelope is like passing the Buck. Delegating which ever way you look at it.
Go Beyond establish Boundaries
Pushing the envelope is walking each minute completely ready to meet Jesus on the other side of the grave.
Myself:
Putting my safety on the line to go out in this society, in all of these places, especially places I fear (like up by Killingsworth ave), and daring to go into my fear and realizing how beautiful many many people are, despite all the hype, despite all the truths (often reported without contexts).
Now...had i wrote something annonymously...i would have "pushed the envelope" even further with my own feelings!
