On Friday, Dec. 3rd, the Illinois Disciples Foundation will host an anti-war benefit concert featuring local Champaign-Urbana bands. The line-up includes The Idle Hours, The Situation, JigGsaw, Cameron McGill and Shipwreck. The show will take place at the Cowboy Monkey starting at 9PM and is $5. All proceeds will go to the IDF and will be used to assist the IDF Anti-War efforts. The Cowboy Monkey is located at 6 Taylor St. in downtown Champaign.
The Illinois Disciples Foundation (IDF) is a peace with justice campus minsitry that has been committed to anti-war organizing since the Vietnam War. The money raised at this benefit show will go to further the IDF's anti-war efforts against the unjust wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
