Thank you for listening to the IMC News, I'm Dave Berliner.
In today's independent news, local UCIMC Correspondent Scott Edwards talks with us about voting rights drawing from his experience campaigning in florida during the election fraud of 2000. We will also hear a segment of a speech given last thursday at the University of Illinois by David North the National Secretary of the Socialist Equality Party and Chairman of the board of the world socialist website. I also talk with Tom Makaman about the current voting system and what direction he feels the socialist equality party is headed. We will also hear another edition of Soundbite.
But first I talk with Carla Oldham about the referendum that will be on the ballot on tuesday to support funding children with developmental disabilities.

And now we turn to an interview I had with Esther Patt while she was walking door to door in her district to raise awareness of the detrimental effect of adding two at-large seats to the Urbana City Council.
