A Sikh man named Balbir Singh Sodhi was shot and killed in an apparent hate crime in Mesa, Arizona yesterday. |
A Sikh man named Balbir Singh Sodhi was shot and killed in the first of a string of apparent hate crimes in Mesa, Arizona yesterday afternoon. Sodhi, a gas station owner, had been verbally threatened earlier in the week. The killer is apparently a white man in a pickup truck who was armed with a handgun. Now is the time to step up our vigilance and support for non-violence in this community so that nothing like that happens here. |
