2 Champaign Unit Four and Child Molester face further suits.
Brady Smith who worked for Champaign Schools while he was molesting African
American boys was not properly prosecuted by States Attorney John Piland. He
plead guilty to soliciting a minor and was given 3 years probation and a $10
fine. Later he went to jail on another charge.
Three of his victims have received settlements in civil court against Brady
Smith and Champaign School District #4. This week two more plaintiffs have
come forward.
3. Martel Miller / Eavesdropping
States Attorney has decided to prosecute Martell Miller on eavesdropping
charges for while he was videotaping arrests as part of a Citizen Watch
program. This report come from an interview with attorney and attended the
press conference at the Champaign.
