Urbana City Council Woman Laura Huth has been blocked from assisting Habitat for Humanity in it's fundraising efforts to help underprivledged residents receive affordable housing. The federal funding is in the form of a Community Development Block Grant received from HUD. Laura told the IMC she found no clear way to receive a waiver in applying for the federal funding and it is effecting the people she is trying to serve. |
