Announcing the Fourth Annual UIUC
ENVIRONMENTAL ACTION NIGHT!!!
When: Thursday, Sept. 2 from 6:30-9:00PM
(Doors open at 6:30. Student presentations will begin at 7:00. There will be free food and information from environmental groups all night).
Where: The University YMCA, 1001 S. Wright St. (Across from Lincoln Hall)
Environmental Action Night (EAN) is held every year to introduce new students, old students, staff, community members, or just about anyone in Urbana-Champaign to the huge variety of environmental groups the area has to offer.
EAN will showcase free vegetarian food, actions to work to save our environment, and, most importantly, nearly 20 campus and community environmental groups working to better our environment. This event is great for anyone who wants to learn more about local environmental groups, volunteer for those groups, network with local environmental leaders, and meet many other people who care about the environment.
Several groups such as Red Bison (a student prairie restoration group), Campus Vegetarian Society, Students Improving the Lives of Animals, the Environmental Council, the Illinois Student Environmental Network, VIP Environment, Environmental Resources, Students for Environmental Concerns, Prairie Rivers Network, Urbana Park District, Grand Prairie Friends, Common Ground Food Co-op have already confirmed that they will be at this event.
This event is sponsored by Students for Environmental Concerns, a program of the University YMCA. |
